ESOL Home What We DoThe English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) office monitors theprogress of our students into the English language. We have 13 in-school centersspecializing in serving ESOL students in those schools as well as thosetransported from neighboring schools.
Additionally, ESOL has four programschools which have large ESOL populations within their school boundary area.These program schools only serve their own ESOL student populations.Approximately two-thirds of Duval county schools serve active ESOL students.ContactBrenda G. ESOL Summer Maintenance ProgramThe ESOL Summer Maintenance Program is a six-week program that offers currently enrolled ESOL students in grades K through 12 the opportunity to enhance their English language acquisition skills while also providing students opportunities to participate in rigorous and engaging learning activities related to social, academic, and cultural experiences. The registration window for this program has closed.
